Europe Honeymoon 2023

Here is a little bit of information for each destination of the trip!!

General Tips!

  • Make sure to check with your Cell provider – some plans like Verizon offers a plan with one free day international per paid month or you may think about getting a SIM card directly in Europe
  • Credit Cards – some require that you place a travel notice
  • Cash – I recommend changing Euro here to have $ when you get there
  • Enroll in STEP US Program - https://step.state.gov/step/
  • Download apps (airlines, etc)
  • Compression socks for the flight
  • If you have TSA or Global Entry, make sure that it is in your paper/electronic Boarding pass
  • Make sure to place your meds in the Carry-on
  • Maybe bring a Portable Charger Power Bank for your phone
  • If you are checking bags, make sure to pack a change of clothes in your carry-on
  • If you are arriving early at your destination and possible the room is not ready, make sure to set some items that you can easily grab from your bag.

OR - Join a small-group walking tour led by a local guide. This 2-hour tour will take you through the narrow streets of Capri and give you an introduction to the island's history and culture.

Gardens of Augustus: From the Piazzetta, walk to the Gardens of Augustus, a beautiful botanical garden that offers breathtaking views of the sea and the Faraglioni rocks. The gardens are home to a variety of Mediterranean plants, including cypress trees, bougainvillea, and geraniums.

OR - Viator also offers a guided tour of the gardens that includes skip-the-line access and a visit to the terraces with panoramic views of the sea.

Day 2:

Via Krupp: Follow the winding Via Krupp down the hill from the Gardens of Augustus to the Marina Piccola. This narrow road, which was carved into the cliff face in the early 20th century, offers stunning views of the sea and the rocks below.

Marina Piccola: At the bottom of Via Krupp, you'll find the Marina Piccola, a charming cove that is popular with swimmers and sunbathers. Take a stroll along the beach, or relax in one of the beachside cafes and soak up the sun.

Day 3:

Villa San Michele: Take the bus or a taxi up to the village of Anacapri, where you'll find the Villa San Michele. This beautiful villa was built in the early 20th century by the Swedish physician and writer Axel Munthe and is now a museum dedicated to his life and work. The villa offers stunning views of the sea and the island and is surrounded by lush gardens and terraces.

Monte Solaro: For a spectacular panoramic view of the island, take the chairlift up to the summit of Monte Solaro, the highest point on Capri. The ride takes about 12 minutes and offers stunning views of the sea (Sorrento, Napoli, mountains) and the island below.

OR - Villa San Michele and Monte Solaro: Viator offers a half-day tour of Anacapri, where you'll visit the Villa San Michele and the summit of Monte Solaro. This tour includes transportation to and from your hotel, skip-the-line access to the villa, and a cable car ride to the top of Monte Solaro.

Return to Capri: From Anacapri, take the bus or a taxi back to Capri and end your tour with a stroll along the marina or a glass of wine in one of the Piazzetta's elegant cafes.
